Dear all,

On behalf Alexis and myself, I am very pleased to announce to you the development of the B777/787 package.

This package will be payware as this requires us a significant amount of additional work. However, some users will have it for free, others will have some discounts. More information in the pricing section below .

Content of the B777/787 package:

The package will feature the Boeing 777-200, 777-200L, 777-200ER, 777F, 777-300, 777-300ER, 787-8.

Initially, the OPT will have the landing part only. The take off will come after our "Take Off engine" will be working on the 737.

The library will be enhanced with some nice documents regarding those aircraft. So far, we are talking about 11 documents. More will certainly be added later on (I am waiting for some at the moment).

Two additional CBT will be included featuring the B777 type rating and the B787 transition type rating.

Pricing:

I wish to be 100% transparent and fair with all of you. Where the 737 will always remain free, some additional content like this one could be another way rise few bucks to spend on the upcoming FS2020  ::) :P

1) All users that have donated us 15€ or more will automatically receive this package for free.
2) All users that have donated below 15€ will receive a 10% discount
3) Due to the OPT being still in the development, the normal price will be 4.99€
4) Once the OPT Take Off page will be working, the normal price will be 9.99€

Obviously, all purchases done now are permanent, no subscription, no additional cost.

How to get this package for free?
1) Although all our users that have been contacted regarding this package project, told us that the price is very fair, I do understand that not everyone could afford spending money on a game. This is why I will regularly organize some "game" on this forum or on Facebook and the winner will receive the package for free.

Annoucements / EFB version 1.0 is now available!

Dear all virtual pilots,

After weeks of hard work to enhance your experience using our EFB, I am pleased to announce that it is now available to all!

You might enjoy the visual differences but the biggest work was behind the scene with a completely new way of handling everything to safe development and maintenance time. Our new system makes new things possible.

Without further an ado, let me present to you: all the changes with the release of EFB 1.0.

EFB v1.0.0 as the operating system.
The EFB works now as an operating system like Windows, Apple, Android or iOS. This means that you have a core that manages the ways thinks work and are displayed. On top of it, we can add functionalities. As the EFB is meant to reproduce a tablet, let's call them 'Apps'. The OPT, Library, CBTs, are additional 'Apps' that can be run on the EFB.

My main goal when developing the operating system was to let users personalize their EFB so it will be unique. One way of doing this is to let users choose their favorite wallpaper among +30 beautiful images. To do that: open Settings/Display and choose your favorite picture.
 




That's so simple that you can try them all!

App Store
Like in any tablet today, I have created an App Store to allow users to install and uninstall apps according to their needs. This means if you do not wish to use a function, you can simply make it disappear from your EFB.
All the App are integrated in a brand new dynamic way!

ADMIN
An ADMIN app was created to have a better overview of the EFB for administrators like myself or for Virtual Airline Administrators.

The number of apps has been significantly increased from 18 to over 40! Some are restricted, few are still in development but in general, you have a very nice list of new functionalities. Check out your available App inside the App Store!
From Aviation Tools, IVAO/VATSIM to Netflix/Prime Video, you have plenty of ways to spend your cruises!

I’m wondering if anyone knows on Ryanair Fleet they have GPWS, Aural warning callouts etc through the headsets or are these sounds all through the Aural warning box down near the FO side at the TQ?

Boeing 737 / Two questions about sound & bleed

For my first post here I have two questions. One regarding the sounds that can be heard (or not) on the flightdeck. One about take off without bleed.

1. Sounds

There is always discussion amongst cockpit builders about the sounds to be heard on the flightdeck when using add-on sounds. Let me explain.

The immersion is greatly enhanced if the cockpit environment not only gives you visual clues but also audible ones. Therefor there are often sound packages that are stand alone or come as a part of an aircraft model. Not only the roar or whine of the engines, but all kind of sounds of systems that add to the symphony that the crew enjoys each flight. One can even feel the vibrations through so called transducers (Buttkickers of Bass shakers). I have one under my IPECO seat, great fun to have. ;D

All very nice but what sounds do pilots actually hear up front? That's where the debate starts.
On the flightdeck you can hear e.g. the packs, the avionics, the gyro's, the GPWS, the wind, the rumble of the runway, the bumps of the runway lights and the landing gear going up or down, the front door closing and perhaps the cargo bay doors. This is obvious. But …

- Some builders have the sound of the APU running, others claim you can't hear the APU in the cockpit, because it's in the tail of the aircraft (so too far away).

- Then the flaps. In flightsim always a prominent sound, but is that correct on a big airliner? Yes if you are a passenger sitting next to the wing, you can hear the mechanism of the flaps or the slats. But in the cockpit? And can you hear the turbulence that the flaps cause?

- How about the fuel pumps? Can you hear them?

- Recirculating fans?

- And the engines? To what extend can you hear them? Can you hear them spool up when you start them or is that more of a vibration felt in the fuselage?

- It is said that the higher you fly the less you hear (thin air). So the noise of the wind on the windows will become less, but also the engine noise? Or can't you hear engines during cruise anyway?

- What can be heard with all that noise in the cockpit of what is happening in the cabin? Can you hear pax talk, children cry (some sound packages have these sounds), etc.?

I hope to 'hear' a leaned opinion on this subject.


2. Take off without bleeds

When watching the B737CL CBT video's I came across the one that deals with bleeds settings in case of a (taxi out &) take off without bleeds.
That made me wonder when does one take off without bleed? I usually have them on.
And I switch off the APU after engine start before commencing to taxi. But is that the correct procedure?
